FCA offering to activate my NAV

Bought my '16 Laramie at the end of August. I just recieved an email offer from FCA to activate the NAVigation already installed in my vehicle. It included a $100 off coupon code bringing the activation cost down to $499. My brother has a Grand Cherokee with the Uconnect NAV and he loves it. What do you guys think, is it worth $500? I understand there are certain useful apps available with the Uconnect system that won't function without NAV.

I am seriously considering activation, but would like some honest feedback from guys who already have it. Also, has anyone had luck calling them and offering something less than $499?

Like any navigation system it's not perfect, but I'm very happy with mine. Some folks like the stand alone units and some like using their phone. Personally, I like the in-dash navigation and have it in all of my vehicles.

It all depends on what you want out of it. I have the Nav and most of the bells and whistles. I use Uconnect from my phone to send the address to the Nav in the truck, it is ready when I get in. The traffic is sometimes good, sometimes not. I like Waze better for navigation.

I'll second @flying7 I use Google maps on phone or tablet but sometimes the bigger screen is nice. More populated areas than my rural little town it works alright, but ETA times are usually inaccurate due to unregistered speeds. That's a little annoying. The one good part to it is the Nav is a strictly one time fee. There's no subscription on top of it.
