Sounds like cp4 is on the way out. You’d have to do a fuel pressure test of the lift pump to see what it’s outputting. Where are you located I may be able to help out

I have a 2016 Laramie. Bought it three years ago with 54k and last mileage recorded was 119k. Four or five months ago, I took it to the local CDJR dealership for recall replacement of the injector pump. Up to that time, I'd been getting an average of 22+ mpg overall, with excursions up to almost 30mpg on long trips - all taken prior to the recall replacement. After the recall, I started getting low fuel pressure codes, with some engine stalling. Over the ensuing four or five months, the Dealership replaced the fuel injection pump; the injectors; the fuel runs; cleaned the lines. During this time, the vehicle would run fine, generally, with only slight lag in acceleration. One day, it refused to start. Had it towed to the dealership; they fiddled with it for two months & finally told me the piston rings had failed on two cylinders and they want $20k to replace the engine.

Online search gives various symptoms before piston ring failure; I experienced none of them that I could identify. At this point, I don't know what to believe, but it perhaps may be a caution to you for your situation.
