I have 208K (kms or 130,000miles) was just informed that I need to replace the DEF pump and tank. I think the cost is more than $3000 Cdn from the dealer. I was wondering if others have experienced this and is there anything that I can do besides fork out the money?

well, you can buy the offroad tune from GDE and delete the DEF pump and tank, EGR valve and cooler along with the DPF. That would save you about 2k and a significant amount of fuel as you continue on.

The code told that it needed to be replace. I am going to check it out with a reader and/or take it to my mechanic, not dealer.
