Had a new one put on when I bought the truck used from a dealer. and now the last 3 years in a row i have had to change it out. i have replaced it out 2 times with oem and 2 aftermarket parts. every time it goes out i get it ordered and within a few days my truck will start letting the codes fly.P0651-00 , P26A7-00 , P26A6-00 , P2453-00 , P2681-00,P0651-00 , P006D-00 , P2454-00 , P26AB-00 , and the Service electronic throttle control. You can look at my post last year same time and had same issues. do yall have this problem every year also. thanks. Put new 3 way on last night reset codes all gone and so far no issues

These valves are garbage - the sensor in them mostly. I've done two in 11 months. If they're going to fail that often, then let the aftermarket cheapie-ones provide. I'm sick of dealership fleecing for little return. My last valve was 60 bucks.

The 3-way valve is a long-lasting part. When was the last time you changed your coolant? My 2015 still has the factory 3-way at 10 years/135,000 miles, but I drain and fill the coolant every 30,000 miles.

was flushed and new 3 years ago and then last year I did it again. I drained the radiator this time and refilled it.

Just remember, the Mopar part comes with a 2-year/unlimited mile warranty if installed by an authorized dealer.

My 3-way valve failed a several years ago, I replaced it with an aftermarket unit - don't recall which one, good chance it was Dorman. About every 2 yrs or so, I drain and refill the radiator with Dex-cool compatible coolant (orange). This replaces 2/3 to 3/4 of the fluid. So far, this has worked for me.
One thing I have learned with my truck is that when a code pops up, there's a good chance it's a boot up glitch. My SOP is to delete the code and keep driving it normally. If it comes back, then address it. The vast majority of the time, it doesn't come back. For example, recently it popped codes for intake #2 bank performance and another serious sounding code that I don't recall. I was 70+ miles from home with my wife at the time. I cleared the codes, drove it home, and have been driving it for the last 2 weeks without issue - like it never happened.
