this is my 2nd ecodiesel, started with the 2014 whick was a great MPG pick-up until the recall to resett the ECM i believe it was . it would get 28 mpg at 75 mph , they resett the ECM and it dropped to 18 mpg at 75 mph. i put alot of miles on it for its MY work truck(carrys hand tools and air compressor), got got a nissan after a deer distroyed the diver side front fender and door.my current 2019 classic blew the engine at 94,174mi and ram gave me new engine no problems - i think they wanted to study the engine with that mileage, this replacement engine now has close to 94,000 mi and it get the oil temp to 235 degress right away climbing a hill even not towing, i put a 2+ qts oil pan since a put a 2+ qts transmission oil pan and it dropped the the transmission temp by 8-10 degress. im trying to find the cheapest way to drop eng oil temp and i know nothings cheap but my labor. Now i got to replace CV AXLES 2 EA, pick-up now has 185,000 +, i of these days ill drop the fuel tank for at 1/4 tank left it starts throwing codes and dies ( its not the fuel gauge) you put fuel in and resset with OBDII and its good again.
