Special ordered this 1500 Eco Diesel loaded with all options waited 6 months for it! All good till about 25k then experienced loss of pedal with codes 3 different times. Dealer had the truck a week each visit. Finally at 35K they decided the turbo was bad and that was a cab off repair had the truck for two weeks. At about 42k massive fuel leak pouring out smoke was on the road towing an empty trailer, had it towed to Red Bluff Dodge allegedly they fixed it another two weeks in the shop waiting for parts. Picked the truck up 3 months later it did it again while pulling a trailer another week in the shop , this time the local dealer installed a complete new high pressure fuel rail so all good so far. Truck now has 55k miles and the warranty just ran out.
I've always been a Ford guy ,owned several 6.7 diesels and still do. Took a chance on the Ram as my after work go to the lake daily driver. Once I knew the warranty was ending and being frustrated I went to look at new and used ford 6.7 diesels. Double sticker shock used trucks worth buying 60 to 70K new 80 to 100K . The 80K Ram I special ordered 4 years ago is now worth 31k talk about shocked I couldn't believe what I was hearing. The thing is i really love this Truck its super quite, great comfort, great ride, excellent sound system nice looking. I just decided to buy an extended warranty at $5800 for another 60K miles and will probably do it again at 110k bumper to bumper 100% fixed by an authorized dealer. Could have gotten the same extended warranty at 1/2 the price when new, just going to take care of it and drive the crap out of it.
Pretty bummed as I'm nervous what's next and not confident letting my wife drive it in case it screws up again. Looking for tips on how to baby this engine.
1.Oil change every 6k
2.New coolant every 40K
3. Fuel filter every 15k
4. Trans oil every 60K
5. Read I should have the oil pan pulled and check the pick up tube for blockage?
6. What fuel additives I've read mixed reviews ?
ANY INPUT APPERCIATED !!!

Delete and tune, I wish I had done mine day one. I’m at 235k going strong, no Def, 10-15 degrees cooler, no regen nonsense, 60 more HP, totally different truck. (Deleted at 170k)
