Hey guys! I've looked around on the forums and haven't come across a situation similar to mine-
I have a 2014 Ram ED (approx. 170k mi) that has been sitting dead in my driveway for the past year due to the dreaded "DPF 100% Full- See Dealer", limp mode with "Service electronic Throttle Control", and I'm pretty sure the EGR is failing (again). The truck has been GDE tuned, first with the original Hot Tune, then the EPA tune, and I recently learned about their Afterlife Tune for Ecodiesels that qualify. Since mine qualifies, I was quick to order the tune along with component delete kits for the EGR and DPF (component deletes have not been installed yet). However, since the truck has been stuck in limp mode, I have not been able to get it to the dealer for the HPFP recall, or crankshaft position sensor tone wheel recall done. I loaded the GDE Afterlife tune and now able drive it, and would like to get the recalls done while the EGR and DPF are still on to avoid any issues, but I'm pretty sure if I tune it back to stock, it will be back in limp mode and not able to get it to the dealer for the recalls. Basically, I'm trying to figure out how I can get the recalls done in the current stock state of "full" DPF and failing EGR before those parts fall off the truck. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
