Hello folks, Have a 2018 Ram 1500. owned since 33k kms, 98K kms ( 20- 61 K miles) Joined to learn how to get it to last. Drive in climate from +35 C- -40C ( 98- -40 F). 85% of time @ highway speed (70 mph)
The main messages from users are:
1- I see soot build up problems
2- Leading to Oil contaminant issues and bearing failure
3- To remove or not remove pollution equip.
Is this all true?

The consensus is getting a tune that eliminates or creates more efficiency is the single best thing you can do to increase life expectancy of the engine.
Oil Analysis done every oil change could also show any potential problems before they are catastrophic.

Do a search for engine tunes and Oil analysis on this forum will give you countless hours of reading to help you make informed decisions.

Welcome and have fun browsing! BTW, pics of your truck are always great as is more info about you!
