Hey ya'll,

Names's Evan, and I bought my first EcoDiesel just a few months ago to replace my aging (430,xxx miles) '07 5.9 Mega Cab. I love diesels, but with a lack of trailers to tow now, I decided to downsize. The EcoDiesel seemed like the perfect fit, and I've been impressed so far.

The wife and I primarily use the truck as my daily-driver, but we love to explore in the more remote areas of Idaho and Montana whenever we get the chance, and this truck definitely affords us that chance.

Weighing pros and cons, I'd say the biggest con has been the downsize in cab space. I loved my Mega for the simple fact that the cab was HUGE. The Eco just isn't, and that's totally fine. I knew what I was getting into. Biggest pro is obviously the fuel economy. 25mpg average on the interstate at ~83mph is huge, and 21 around town consistently is even bigger. I hand-calculate my fuel economy, and those are my averages so far. The 'ol 5.9 would only do 9 in town and 14 on the interstate. Massive upgrade in the EcoDiesel.

Looking forward to gleaning knowledge from everyone here. I've been into forums ever since getting my first vehicle (Jeepforum is still fun to browse from time-to-time), and from what I've seen so far, this one won't disappoint.

welcome 2 the group what year how many miles?

Thanks! Just rolled over 60k this weekend. It's a 2016. I've ordered everything I need for an oil and fuel filter change, and I'm about to tackle the transfer case as well. Diffs don't show any signs of leakage, so I think I'll skip those for another 15k or so.
