Just signed in, I’m new here. My question is on a 2017 Ram Bighorn Eco diesel.

Truck has a little over 85,000 miles on it. Wife’s truck, her baby, she takes real good care of it. Anyway had to take it into the dealer and they said diesel particulate filter is plugged and has to be replaced. Asked my neighbor mechanic and he said you should be able to do a manual regeneration, which he did, but service engine light came on again. Someone said it might be possible to manually clean it, was wondering if anyone has ever done that with any luck and what they used? Thanks for you help.
