So I am chasing a Gremlin, and am reaching out to multiple communities to see if anyone else has run into this oddity.

2018 RAM 1500 EcoDiesel

Low battery light stays on.

- Battery has been replaced.
- IBS ( Intelligent Battery Sensor ) has been replaced.
- All power and grounds to the alternator have been resistance checked, and are good. Added additional body and chassis grounds to rule out a bad ground, with no changes.
- When running, the computer is requesting for 14.7v but the max alt direct output measured at that time is 13.6v
- Lin Bus wire is communicating on the network. Swapped out the alternator with a new unit, with no voltage output difference.
- Tried tricking the load of the system with a carbon pile load tester, no extra power output boost from the alternator when directly measured

Any ideas?

Sounds like there's a disconnect in the wire/connection between the computer request output and the voltage regulator. May have to continuity test starting from alternator.
