2018 ram eco diesel 42000 kilometres engine seized in 2021. The vehicle was maintained by a Chrysler dealership as required by the vehicle guidelines. A new engine was installed under warranty I am wondering how long this engine will last?

There is no requirement that the vehicle be maintained by a Chrysler dealership, they can suggest it it and fight warranty claims. When you do your own maintenance make sure you keep the end flap of the filter box and oil receipts, I maintain a spreadsheet with all the info, mileage, date oil brand, oil filter brand, fuel filter is ALWAYS a MOPAR filter, after that I go to my garage on the MOPAR SITE and enter the info there, I have always used SHELL ROTELLA T-6 oil, until recently when it became unavailable, I have VALVOLINE PREMIUM BLUE EXTREME for my next service. As far as new engine longevity, no one can give you that answer. There's some things you can do that will help a lot, but they are illegal, eliminating the EGR function is probably the single most damaging thing on the ECODIESEL, find a tuner that still disables it, the other thing is a FULL DELETE, EGR, DPF and SCR, tune the engine & remove them, if you live in an area where emissions testing is required then you can't tune & leave it tuned, you'll need to put the stock tune back on it. GDE offers an EPA approved tune that leaves all emissions in place while addressing the soot issue.
