Oil pressure dropping

I just replaced the injection pump on my wife's 2016 ram. Had her take it for a drive, it started and idled fine at first. During her drive it started acting weird. Her words, not mine. When she went to back into the driveway the oil pressure light came on and the pressure dropped to zero. Did I mess something up possibly, or what should I be looking at. If its the oil pump wnere is it located. I looked at them online and they look like the are external. Any help is appreciated. I'm trying to keep this truck on the road till I can find her a 2500 with a Cummins.

If you haven't already, check the dipstick for the "forbidden glitter". If oil level and appearance are good, check the electrical connections/fuse for the oil pressure sensor. The numbers on the dash display are merely a calculation of what the oil pressure should be according to RPM, load, and current volume of the variable oil pump. The oil pressure is only a pressure switch that activates the light when pressure drops below about 8 psi - too late to prevent damage.

Oil is good, no glitter, no diesel smell. I will check connections and fuse tomorrow.

Pull the oil pan ck the pickup tube for sludge it maybe the culprit. There’s a video on YouTube where that was the problem and he almost lost his engine due to low oil pressure.

I am planning that for next weekend already. I don't have a covered area to work on it, and don't want to work in the rain.

Ended up taking the oil pan off today. Good news, the oil pickup tube is clean. Bad news, lots of bearing material in the pan. Going to need a new motor. I'm looking at Fraisre Engines. They have fully loaded rema s for just over 11k. I have never heard of them before, but my wife decided she wants to fix it.
