oil pressure reading

The reading on the dash both analog and digital are a representation of what the ECM programing calculates what the oil pressure should be at the existing engine temperature, RPM, gear selection, throttle setting. So it means that the on/off engine oil pressure switch shows oil pressure above the threshold level and the computer tells you what you want to see. When my original GDE tune had oil pressure reading mine ran cold highway around 46 psi, hot around 35 psi.
