P206D Engine Code

Good Evening, My 2016 Ecodiesel had the check engine light pop up tonight/ When I plugged in my reader it came up with engine code P206D.

Does anyone know what this code is for?

Welcome.. wish I had an answer for you.. hopefully someone here can chime in with better info.

P206D code refers to your DEF system. It could be the DEF injector is clogged, or the system thinks you are using bad DEF, or a short in the injector wire. This system will be covered by the new service agreement once you accept the settlement with FCA and let them install the new software programming. The steps I would take are:

1. Drain or siphon the DEF tank and refill with fresh Walmart Supertech DEF. Then remember there are date codes on DEF boxes.

2. If that does not work, clean the DEF injector.
