Hi everyone,

today durning my lunch breakI drove to the gas station which was probably about a 5 min drive, everything was good for out did my thing and when I got back in my turn and turned it on it started then probably within 2-3 seconds shut off. The dash was completely black, no lights nothing but my touchscreen was trying to connect to Bluetooth. The key was in the run position so I turned it all the way to the left and then back to the run position and it didn’t even turn over or light up the dash, wasn’t until I pulled the key out and opened the door and closed it was I able to start the truck.

very curious if anyone has had this issue and what the remedy was.
Thanks everyone.

Sounds like your ignition system hit a glitch. Did you end up getting it running?

Yea once I opened my door with the keys out of the ignition and then closed the door and turned it over it started not problem.
I commute long distance for work and don’t want it to happen worse when I’m in a rural area.

I’m sorry boss I haven’t heard of this senario. IMO the ignition hit a glitch and didn’t know how to act so it shuts off and required basically a forced start.

I have had something like that happen a few times, I think it's however the key reads in the ignition switch, it doesn't make the connection. I just pull the key back out and give it a few secs. then put it back in and it's fine after that.
