Service 4wd C1480

I’m having my service 4 wheel drive light come on 3/4 times when I start up the truck, it’s throwing code. C1480 for transfer case range digital position sensor performance. Thought I’d see if anyone else has had this issue. If I can get the truck to start without the light coming on then the 4 whee drive works totally fine until I shut off and restart and the light comes on and I cannot use the 4wd. Thanks

Sad to say you have to go to a shop and get it diagnosed. I would find a good 4wd repair shop and avoid those high dealer prices. Here is a great link where the guy told how to diagnose it. Looks complicated though. Gotta love the internet. https://www.2carpros.com/questions/c1480
