I have a 2016 ram EcoDiesel. It's been fully deleted for over 3 years and I've started to get a service electronic throttle control sensor warning. Anybody know what would cause this and if I'm understanding this right with it being deleted, none of the NOx or O2 sensors actually factor into this. It never blew black smoke until I got this code. Now it does. I can reset it with my chip but then it blows black smoke and within a couple miles of driving it it goes into limp mode and comes back on

I also had this issue after deleting my 2014 ram, i tried many things. Tried testing for booster leaks, re-tuning, (worked for a week) cleaning the map sensor, and tried diesel fuel conditioner (that was a dumb try i must admit). I finally talked to my mechanic and asked him about how to clean the air intake system. He said to try the crc throttle body and air intake cleaner solution. Took off the intake filter and map sensor snd sprayed it in for 5 seconds. When i started it, it was not happy and rumbled a few narly turn overs, but alas, started up and ran like a beauty. Haven’t seen the electronic throttle control warning in two months now.

I did all that. I just found a hole in my hot side for my turbo by the intercooler. I replaced it yesterday and it runs great now. Thank you!
