2/21/19: EcoDiesel; Preliminary Approval Granted
Good afternoon, everyone. On February 11, 2019, the court entered an order granting preliminary approval of the class action settlement. The final approval hearing will be on May 3, 2019. You should receive a notice of settlement soon via mail and email. The full details of the settlement will also be available at www.EcoDieselSettlement.com. Additional information can also be found on the Court website: https://www.cand.uscourts.gov/emc/chryslermdl
The Claims Period begins on the date the Court grants final approval of the Settlements. The earliest date this could occur is May 3, 2019. When and if the Court grants preliminary approval, the claims process will open to class members. Current owners and lessees will have 18 months from the date the Court issues final approval of the class settlement to submit a claim, and two years to complete the repair and receive compensation. Former owners and lessees will have 90 days from the date of final approval to submit a claim.
Current owners: If you sell or trade in your vehicle now or any time before the approved emissions modification is installed, you will not be eligible for compensation under the current proposed settlement. To avoid this situation, you should keep your vehicle, submit a claim and then schedule and complete an AEM appointment as soon as possible.
