Steel vs Aluminum wheels

I was doing some reading. It looks like the factory steel wheels weight 50.9# and the factory aluminum wheels weigh 34.4#. That seems like a BIG difference - are the sites I've been reading accurate?! What could that equate to in mpg's? I know guys go with a heavier tire (same size) and read that it kills mileage.... Thanks for taking a look!

Yes, heavier tire/wheel combos reduce MPG's - takes more power to get them spinning. Also, aluminum dissipates heat better than steel so it runs cooler - Cooler tires wear a tad slower.
