Steering Wheel Peeling?

I know this isnt ECD specific, but is anyone else's steering wheel peeling like this?? And if so what did you do to remedy it? Id rather not get a steering wheel cover as i find those to be bulky and i dont like how most of the "universal" ones fit. Also i have the heated steering wheel which id like to keep functional.

Does anyone know of a solution? Or am i just doomed to watch my steering wheel slowly lose its skin :/

I didn't ask the dealer just because I assume they'll want to replace the whole steering wheel which, I'd be willing to bet, is way more than I'd like to spend. Especially since it's a heated wheel.

I guess I'm just reaching out to see if anyone else is having the same issue...

It may not be too difficult to replace the wheel yourself if you are good at following directions. Other than that a thin cover will probably be your best bet. Quite a few options for "around" $100.00

This might be an outside of the box idea, but you could always try looking into a custom upholstery shop and see what they would charge for replacing the current peeling cover. The upside is that you would then be able to possibly choose a custom cover.
