Hi all, I've been wondering if this diesel actually uses a throttle body to control the charge airflow coming into the intake plenum? I noticed on bluedriver that there is a value on the intake that stays at 94% unless I reconnect the egr, then it drops and can also hear it in the intake that something is opening and closing as I connect and disconnect the plug on the egr valve, as if it's making sure it sucks in all the egr .
That was with a relatively cold engine and it seems that stock settings uses a fair bit of egr when cold as if they want to warm it up.
I think this must be when a lot of the soot is produced in the intake as most cold diesels tend to have some unburned fuel in the exhaust.
Still learning.....
