Various issues since AEM recall

Hey guys I'm new to this forum, I bought a 2015 ram ed in 11/2015. The truck has served me well until the AEM recall. My oil life has drastically been reduced since. 1st oil since AEM 8300 miles, 2nd 7800 and last week 5200 @ 23% of oil life remaining. I did send a sample off to be analyzed to find out what was in the oil. There has been some towing and a mix of city/highway driving. This is one of my issues since the AEM recall, the others are a loss of power on uphill climbs at low speeds <25 mph, EGR leaking, and the most annoying issue complete loss of power on shifts 1-2 and 2-3. The loss of power at shifts you can hear the boost being dumped (I know these trucks are variable vane turbos) I have a Banks intake tube and air filter, so you can hear the turbo some ( It has been on the truck since 2016). The EGR recall was done back on 1/22/20 with a cat replacement, I explained to the tech about oil change interval and they brushed it off and said it was from towing and they could not explain the other issues or resolve either. The oil analysis was sent off on 2/27 and the results have not been emailed back as of yet. Does anyone have any ideas or have had the same issues?

I also experienced a problem with the AEM update when I had it done in June 2019. The dealer didn’t have an AEM update yet as l was sent a letter back in February of a new update for the AEM. The EGR cooler was replaced because of the coolant leak. I know that a new EGR cooler is coming out in April. Definitely don’t put any aftermarket parts as the dealer will not help you. I kept everything stock and keep my oil change history as the dealer is playing very difficult with customers demanding proof of oil changes as these engines are failing.

I've had all my service done at RAM dealerships. My truck went in this week with a second failed EGR cooler. The dealer didn't hesitate and gave me a loaner until the new EGR cooler arrives. My dealer has been supportive and does good work. Stand your ground and hold the dealer to the warranty imposed when FCA was held accountable. Good luck!

Unfortunately, these dealers are not very helpful. When I purchased my truck. The dealer gave me three free oil changes and a loaner vehicle as part of the deal. When calling for an appointment the next appointment with loaner is over 2 months. Very inconvenient. They had my truck for two months for the EGR cooler. When I picked it up the Horn wasn’t working. I contacted the dealer service manager and he said give him a call the next day to arrange to get me in a loaner. I called him and he said to give me my number and he will call me back. No return call the FCA survey was sent that Friday and I gave a bad review. I called Monday and the service manager was off I get the survey from the dealer and gave a poor review.
I get a call the following day from a customer survey specialist from the dealer. I didn’t hesitate to let him know that I was very disappointed with the performance. That the dealer shouldn’t let a customer drive around with an unsafe vehicle because of the coolant smell and no Horn. I requested the loaner I was promised. It took over a week to get that appointment. You definitely need to fill out those surveys. It was the reason I was able to get the truck back in for needed service.
