I took delivery of my '15 ED couple days ago. I was in a rush to go to school, so I didn't have much time to take a look at everything. One thing for sure, DEF was almost empty and the salesman only gave me a gallon of DEF. I Called today and he said that management verified that I only get a gallon. It's like saying, I have to buy the rest of my engine oil because it's half full or brake fluid on a brand new truck. I told them to look into TSB 25-006-13. I also emailed and chatted with RAM support. They'll give me an answer tomorrow. Anyone else paid for theirs?

Mine was full upon receipt. It could be a dealer option to decide how much to fill, but I imagine they have a pre delivery checklist that has to be completed and I'm not sure if filling the DEF tank is one of them. It's not hard to fill it up though...

Mine was half full when I took delivery but is was late on evening. They had me bring it back in at my convenience and they topped off the def tank. Truck was also full of diesel when I took delivery.

Mine was almost empty. In the red. I never asked them to fill it. Just whent and filled it myself.

Thinking back. They really should fill it. I'm actually a little surprised Ram doesn't do this from the factory.

I did receive a full tank of diesel as well as a free oil change.

The oil change was a mistake though. The dealer said they only give free oil changes to gas engeins. The said they would honor it though.

Our dealers here charge you to fill it up with fuel and def if you have a truck. They'll do it for you, but tour charged on your invoice. I chose to fill the fuel and def on my own, so both my guages were empty, my oil was 1.5qt low too. :( oh well, just makes me get a little more personal wuth my truck.

Mine was full, along with the fuel. They even washed it. I hope their service dept is as accommodating as the sales people. We shall see tomorrow. It goes in for the backup camera install and I asked that it be checked for the newest software updates. I don't know that I can tell if it is up to date or not but I'm anxious to hear what they say.

I know I was very concerned about the cost and how much def I would be using for my fleet when I first bought my truck, but after the 2015 duramax and cummins comparison the ram ecodiesel is really the winner, I consume 6 gallons every 6500 miles on average, I found the cleanliness of the oil is what determines how long it will last. if I changed my oil every 7500 miles I can get 7500 miles to 8500 miles on 7 gallons.
I always let the def guage run into the red before I top it off at the truck stops.
I fill up basically every 2-3 weeks. even in the -40f temps this winter I didn't have any issues at all, and I idle for no less than 3 hrs every night while I take my nap in the back seat.

Good deal. Did they inform you why it wasn't done when you bought it?
Salesman, told me he confirmed that I only get a gallon! So I did some research and found that TSB, then called the manager. Shortly after that, another manager called me from another dealership because the truck was from their inventory. He called because I wrote Chrysler and they're willing to fill it up.

Mine was 3/4 full when I bought it. Told my salesman and he walked into service and came out with 2x3.4 gallon jugs and handed them to me. Love my dealership

To bad you had to go through that much trouble.. at least you're getting it filled up though.
