So I am watching some of the videos on YouTube about the ECODiesel, and if course all of the ones they run tests on are top of the line. Well the one guy was going over a Limited model, and he showed that under the rear mat there was a storage compartment.
Well I thought there is no way my Big Horn would have those, and if it did the dealer certainly would have showed me them. Well wasn't I surprised when I lifted the rear floor mat and voila the same storage compartment that the high dollar limited has......

Anyone else not realize this hidden treasure????

Heck yeah, I don't think anyone has ram beat on all the little nooks and crannys for storage places.

You can buy doors for them with locks if you need to lock them.

I believe all CLUB (may not be the term) cab models come with them. I have the basic package, and I have them.

Yeah the dealers are not really up to date on these Ecodiesel either, or at least mine. I asked where the heater plug was located. The salesman had no idea. We took the truck into the shop to have a mechanic show us. He didn't know either, but at least he located it. I have a 2015 I bought in March.

I'm not sure if you know this, but if I recall correctly, there is one compartment on each side fyi. I could be wrong on this ( I remember where I was on Sept 11, 2001 but don't ask me where I was yesterday, old age is kicking in).

There is a compartment only on one side if you have the Alpine sound system. The other side is occupied by the subwoofer.

That's the storage under rear seats. These are the floor board boxes....

These little boxes were a life saver when I finally found them! Straps and other the Downs, receivers, and a tarp in the other side. Under seat only fits the jumper cables a clevis and a receiver. Tightly.

Oh and you can stuff a tow strap under the passenger seat with the Jack as long as you keep it rolled up nicely! I'll share a picture of mine tonight.

Chain and receiver in passenger side box and an assortment of ratchet straps in the drivers side.

Jumper cables, clevis, fuel filter and filter wrench under the rear drivers seat.

It's not the most emergency situated vehicle out there but it's not terrible for what a guy might need over the road.

Thinking over a set of snow socks though. Does anyone have any experience with them?
