How do you get the hot gases to travel down stream to the exchanger, if you're not letting cooled gases to travel to the plenum? Obviously there is some radiant thermal effect but egr temp definitely stays low.
This is a fix that can be undone by reconnecting plug and clearing code to visit...
I wonder if it would depend what the CEL is from? Say the pressure differential sensors are out of range then it maybe wouldnt regen as it wouldn't know when to start and stop, possibly? Anyway, egr is closed while it does regens and it seems to do them the same as when the valve is plugged in
I unplugged the electrical connector on mine, and yes theres a CEL for open EGR circuit. Valve obviously stays closed because egr temp probe barely exceeds coolant temp running thru cooler. I'd like to pull the diffuser tube and clean it up and then recheck in awhile, see if it stays clean.

With the issues some have with this ecodiesel, they could always go back to being cavemen......lol! Personally I'm not sure what good an oil sample is from a blown engine! Unless you're trying to prove oil type.
Now previously done oil analysis history would be a different story!
And no the...
That may well be, but there was nothing about ms-10902 on the bottles I got. But the T6 didn't either but FCA has it "listed" so it seems its the go to oil
I had picked up some 5w40 valvoline premium blue extreme at TSC (as it was on clearance!) then I took it as well as T6 Rotella to a garage to get oil changed, as I have warranty then they couldn't find a spec on the Valvoline that matched the FCA requirements so they used the T6 anyway
With a turbo diesel there is less effect in doing air intake upgrades, plus 3L displacement at 3500rpm vs 5.7L of Hemi churning at 5000rpm + is a massive difference in airflow required!
Welcome- 1st post!
You must think no one cares lol!
The fact is, it looks like the sensor setup is another one of the standard issues with the engineering behind VM that supplies the 3.0
Not sure either, but I'm sure FCA's "superb" programming has it burning up fuel in a way that stinks.
Would be interesting to do a side by side sniff test on tuned and stock settings
It might help your views if you would actually read what people post, instead of going off on a bunny trail of your own!
Who isn't able to see that FCA looks like a joke sending out URGENT RECALLS for a dinky tailgate, while we continue to need to drive around a potential fireball with no...
