It is the process where the truck emissions cleans out the exhaust filter getting rid of the 100 full notice. Then the process starts over once the filter fills up again hundreds of miles down the road.
Basic answer. Drive it for an hour on the highway before it tells you to see the dealer and hits limp mode. Then you are up a creek unless you have a alpha code reader. Oh and Not around town hitting all the red lights. It will clear itself. It's not like an oil filter. You cannot simply replace it.
Hello and welcome. Here is my two cents on oil. I went a step further and contacted the manufacturer in Italy. It is all in the post. Here is my post link. I'll be glad to answer any questions you might have.

I cannot agree more. Long trips allow for the engine to heat up well and go through the appropriate cycles. From reading the forms it seems like most of the guys are either unfamiliar with diesel engines, live in the city where it rarely gets to heat up and stretch it's legs, they treat it like...
I bought the update for the nav. Save your money. You still end up going through shady neighborhoods and end up at a wrong destination. Sometimes nowhere close to where you should be. I was truly disappointed. We use Google maps on the phone and find our way with ease.
Mark check out my post and what I have done. Here is the link. Travis

I cannot comment on the tune because I do not have one, but I had the same oil leak. It took a while to get it back together. It is sealed up nicely. One thing I should have done while they had the intake off was replace the turbo water line. It sits directly under the intake. It is two metal...
I have the 100k warranty on my 2018. The did some warranty work for an oil leak and HPF pump leak. Think it was around 82k. I have a really good small town dealer. They have more to lose so they cannot screw people like the larger ones who have plenty of customers.
I will give it a shot and see what happens. Heading from Oklahoma to Colorado this weekend. I will remove the tune and see what happens. I will keep you informed.
Keep reading on this site and you will learn otherwise. Although I am sure many have not seen the same issues as I ( and others) have. There are many successful stories on the tune. I am a member on other ED forums. The same issues and codes are being spoken about as well.

I never had this code until I installed a GDE tune. I have had it numerous times since and especially when towing. Spoke to the guy a few times at GDE, think it was Keith but I am not positive. Well they or he, keep saying I have a vacuum leak. If it were a vacuum leak it would pop...
I have to agree with jozdad. I knew a few guys who worked at Firestone. They would frequently swap the filter and add more. Probably not intentional, but it does blow seals. Hopefully this is all it did. Firestone does have good techs but they are on big ( real mechanical) jobs not changing...
CEL is Check Engine Light. Yes, the light does go back off when a few more drive cycles have passed. But it is a never ending cycle of off and on with the same code. I would not call it resolved, but with the cel going back off the ECU does not detect any further problems until it comes back on.
