Certified DEF is 33% urea, 67% water. As it ages or gets contaminated, it's potency drops. When it drops to 22% urea you will get an alarm (2016+ trucks). If it's not a DEF condition problem, it could be a clogged injector or pump, etc. Good that you have the dealer looking at it.

Ecodiesel never had an "additive (DEF) mixed with the diesel". Where did you hear or read that? Totally incorrect!

On another forum there were 2020 owners who mentioned it and they were all ignoring it, but they didn't say why. In the past, California has made the Emissions recalls mandatory, or they would not register the vehicle. Haven't heard anything yet regards this recall, it may be too new.

It won't even know that bass boat is back there. It will like 35 miles each way, gets up to regen temps and enough miles to complete. I'm averaging 3883 miles a year, should last forever.

You need AlfaOBD software and a bypass cable the change the ECM to your VIN number and injector data. There's a lot of info and how tos on other forums and Google

You are wasting your money to add a k&N cold intake or any other system. The stock air intake will provide more air than the small Ecodiesel turbo can handle. Early on GDE proved this and later others have as well.

The easiest way to start a manual regen is with an Edge CTS2. You just select it and it will regen on the next ignition cycle (after the truck reaches the prescribed temps)
