Falken Wildpeak AT3 will fill all of your needs. Probably the best tires I've ever owned for all the conditions one can encounter. Specially for dirt and snow traction and stick to the pavement in rain.
With the stock tune I get the alert. Twice, for recalls, I returned to stock tune and got the alert. Had to drain the DEF tank and refill with new DEF to clear the alerts before taking it to dealer.
I have SFT tunes. Prior to the W58 tone wheel recall, the SFT tune had the DEF system...
TC, My 2016 must have a quality sensor, as it alerts at 22 or 24%. Like you say, 2.5 gals DEF & 1 Gal distilled, my monitor shows 26% (and no alert).
I said alerts at 22 or 24% because in previous posts you have said 22%.
My 2016 Eco is my daily driver of "a lot of short trip or stop and go driving" and I have never seen the 100% full message, nor have I ever had an exhaust sytem problem. I agree that my use is the worst use for any diesel vehicle. So I compensate.
I monitor exhaust temps, DPF soot level and...
Yep, if your dealer said they did not see DEF in the DPF filter, they are idiots. DEF gets injected into the SRC, never into the DPF. Did they put more DEF into the almost empty tank and then do a forced regen when they had your truck? That's what they should have done if it threw a 100% see...
Ecodiesels use little DEF. I believe it's because their frequent regen cycles keep the NOx levels down. DEF is only used when NOX reaches a certain level, then DEF is injected into the SCR (EGT4 sensor) to remove NO2/NOx. NOX levels trigger the DEF injection and also determine the quantity...
Yes, maybe I should have. However:
On 12/20/21, I sent you an email, you never responded.
On 12/24/21, I sent your spokesman, Dakota Mitchell a message because he said to send him a message to get your tune as a new customer for $800.00. He never responded.
So, I scratched you off my list.
I've never heard anyone complaining about their HDDS tune, that's good. Some say it's the pre EPA GDE tune, but GDE won't agree to that. They came in last for MPG when tested by GPUtah, not good. I sent them an order request on Dec 20th, have never heard back from them, that doesn't impress me.
An update on this SFT corrected tune
The manifold exhaust temp (EGT1 sensor) can easily climb to 1025 degrees local driving. Not doing any WOT just rolling up the speed it will hit that in a long block (and the truck coolant was just barely up to temp).
It could be my imagination, but it seems...
I have been using SFT tunes since they started, however, they have made changes that are causing me to shop for a new tuner. I am posting this to alert SFT owners on the four forums where I'm a member.
1 -SFT stopped including the ability to go into cruise control below the stock tune's MPH...
The manual says change the fuel filter every 20,000 miles. Across the forums it seems owners are changing at 15,000 miles. I changed my first one at 16,430 miles when I did an oil change. At 16.430 miles the filter still looked like new.
