Anyone else averaging 24mpg in the city and 34 on the highway?

The EVIC data is probably close, but only hand calculated is accurate. I've never seen those numbers with my 2016. I average 17-18mpg local and 22mpg highway @ 70mph, 20mpg @ 75mph. In 22,493 miles my average is 19.2 mpg. What reduces my mpg? Leveled, no air dam, 10 ply Falken Wildpeak...

    Sunroof leak 2015 Ram ecoDiesel

FYI, I bought my 2016 in May 2016, but it was built in Oct, 2015. The day I bought it the dealer replaced the sunroof under a recall. Seems they had a leaking problem. The tech said he could see no difference between the old and the new other than a new gasket.

    Hello all. Air filters

No reason to try and get more air, as the turbo can't use it. The stock filter system even provides more air than the stock turbo needs. Several have changed the stock type filter for a lifetime filter, not for more air, for filter longevity.

    Timber Grove enterprises

Some install the compressor in the cab rear floor box. If you don't use that box it's a neat location, protected and out of the way. That said, where I put mine I have never had a problem, and it's easy to work on if necessary. However, I don't use the bed to haul loose items etc. that could...

    Gde emission tune

You have been misinformed regards GDE's tune GDE, MRT, HDD, SFT and Reckless tunes all work the same as far as allowing you to flash back to stock for recall updates and then back to tune after recalls done.

    New on the block

Welcome and congrats on the truck. Think your mods trough before you spend the money. For example, there's no reason to change the exhaust unless your looking for more noise. Be sure it has all the factory recalls and updates, if not, get them before you start modifying. Enjoy it, it's a...

    Ram EcoDiesel Oil Change Information

Exactly - It's just your opinion, but you stated it as a matter of fact (with no facts). And you just did it again saying, "Add anything to it, you are changing the Structure of the Oil. " Not true - it's called an additive because it adds to the oil, it doesn't change the oil's structure. If...

    Ram EcoDiesel Oil Change Information

OMG Adding a quality additive to engine oil does not "make the Oil perform worse then what it was engineered to do." Where did you get that info?

    Oil change

I am not familiar with it, all my valves drop straight down. F106 is the right number for our thread size, so it should work. Not sure if I would buy one as the rotating feature could be a leaker, but Fumato has a great reputation for quality so it shouldn't be a problem. I can see the demand...

What's the best ecodiesel tune today for "EGR shutoff" but keeping equipment installed?

The SFT stage 1 tune shuts off the EGR but does not shut of regenerations. DEF is not used by the EGR process. DEF is only used during a passive regen and will continue the same as if you were still stock tuned. Follow TC's advice on diluting the DEF.

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

If you got the AEM Emissions recall done, you also got a 48month warranty that covers the sensor. If the tone wheel failure took out the sensor, which it often does, the entire fix is covered except you have to pay for the tone wheel. If you didn't get the AEM recall done, you would have a...

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

Tuned shouldn't be a problem, but deleted might be. I've read where warranty work was completed on a deleted truck but I believe most dealers and FCA would deny any warranty coverage. I have no sympathy for deleters, they are what brought and brings the EPA down on the industry. Deleting is...
