If you don’t have air ride I would definitely invest in some bags. I did the 1000hd in mine and I pull my 7x12 enclosed pretty much daily and it made a world of difference. I won’t pull a trailer without air in them now lol
@TC Diesel so since I have not had the aem flash, no fix for tone wheel? Doesn’t matter to me I purchased and installed the fix for tailgate. Every time my truck leaves my hands it comes back with an issue or the cel would come on so it’s just easier to do my own thing. If anyone can dig up a...
Honestly? Close to the same as 1, little more pep, turbo noise is a little more, with less worry of codes in the future. Leave the muffler and it’s around factory sounding.
I second deleting at occurrence of exhaust issues. I ran stage one for 12-15k. Had an emissions code from truck sitting for nearly 6 months. Deleted code twice and it continued to reoccur so I was able to remove the dpf and scr and click stage two and be done. Glad I purchased both stages as a...
FYI, I chose to buy both stage 1 and 2 tunes. Once you have them, and don’t conform to recall flashes at the dealer, they’re good forever. Thinking was, run stage one till I had dpf, scr problems, once those occurred I switched to stage 2.
So, to remove any part of the egr, you’ll need a tune. There’s two stages of tuning, stage 1 turns off the egr and allows for its removal, a stage 2 tune requires full exhaust removal and turns off the egr and allows for its removal and is considered “off road only”
Stage 1 egr delete is the removal of the diffuser tube( from egr to intake)
stage 2 is physically removing egr, installing block off plates on intake and exhaust, and installing a coupling in the coolant hose to complete the loop that used to go through the egr.
Used one to delete egr tube. Never got around to using the rest of the kit yet lol works fine for that aspect of it but I haven’t found time to completely remove the egr.
Welcome to the forum! Sorry it’s under the given circumstances. Burning ecos are nothing new, but the fact that the new and improved egr still can lead to issues is deffinately a concern. Sorry to hear about your experience with your truck! Please keep us posted with the investigation findings!
