Possible causes could be
-Failed exhaust differential pressure sensor
-Open circuit in exhaust differential pressure sensor circuit or loose connector contact
-Failed engine-ECU
My guess would be to check all your connections. When they removed the transmission they could have connected...
How many miles? Any modifications? What’s it doing? Will it turn but not start? Will it click but not turn over? Going to need more info to try to help buddy
Turn it to on but do not try to crank, you’ll hear the pump in the tank prime the fuel lines then shut off. Repeat that 2-3 times to make sure fuel is primed and ready to go. Check your air filter box to make sure no mice have decided to make that their home/ food pantry, then give it a try!
Glad to be here man!! This forum has saved me headaches and money, so I hope to be able to help others where I can! My First name is chris. If anyone has any questions feel free to pm me, gonna try to live up to @BoostN ‘s legacy!!
Off thread a little but my local dealer sent me a “for sale” post card with my trucks info saying they would buy it for 21k, it’s a 2014 with 146k. Not sure if they’re tired of trying to get me in for recalls or if they want me to get my eco off the road but I’m not doing it
I’ll take a peek under my truck when I get home but since it’s zip tied and tucked away most likely it’s for an add on like a courtesy light or some other function
I replaced my wheel bearings around 130k, I didn’t need to but the inspector swore they were bad and it wasn’t worth the fight. I topped off my front differential and rear since they were a few ounces low but nothing that was major so far. 145k on mine now
It could possibly be for the trailer brake control module if you don’t have it. Or another accessory for the truck that it didn’t come with. My plug was wrapped in foam and I don’t remember it’s exact shape. That could be for anything but as long as everything functions it shouldn’t be a big deal.
I don’t understand how a software update is going to prevent the wheel from failing and keep the injectors firing at the right time if the sensor isn’t telling it when to fire off unless it’s going to kick it into limp mode
Perfect tune IMO is defined by the buyer. I enjoy SKT, where as others have gde’s old hot tune. Hd diesel seems to be popular also. At the price of tunes it’s not practical for many to buy multiple tunes and review them all. If it allows for dpf and egr removal for your off-roading needs, then...
I did my egr and it’s pretty straight forward with basic tools. The dpf and exhaust delete I will be doing soon, everyone reccomends getting a new clamp for turbo down pipe because stock one will break. That’s a dealer purchased item, but seems like it’s pretty basic to complete the proceas
Normally that’s what I do if I’m in a hurry and will be near the truck to shut it off after a few minutes but it sure would be nice to just have it do it on it’s own lol I’m curious if sofaking can write up that in the programming or if they would need my bcm file
Anyone added one to their truck?
Been looking into it and I would really like to have a timer built into mine. Sometimes sitting in the truck a few extra minutes isn’t practical for me, and I seem to be pulling my enclosed trailer a lot more frequently lately.
Well you won’t have egr issues anymore, you won’t be dumping soot through your intake and engine making it much happier, cleaner oil, avoid the hassle of future def and Dpf Problems, and better throttle response.
Here’s the way I see it, she’s either gonna go or blow haha looking back I wish I would have done my research before I purchased mine. I was looking at 2500 gas rams and found mine and bought same day. Found this forum when I was having a glow plug issue and ended up deciding to tune and I’ll...
