What's the best ecodiesel tune today for "EGR shutoff" but keeping equipment installed?

...for the LOL. Always seems like a dead end. No one ever has any answers. So I'm just left flapping in the breeze. You're right. I am new to "tuning." But I can take apart just about anything and put it back together. I guess I should have just asked more basic questions about tuning. About...

What's the best ecodiesel tune today for "EGR shutoff" but keeping equipment installed?

...are new to this site and maybe to the subject at hand. If you do some research you'll find it's not a laughing matter. Companies that did tuning were shut down and heavily fined by the EPA. The EPA says that even changing tire size affects emissions and is thereby illegal. If the EPA had...

HELP - Reprogramming ECM with AlfaOBD

...to easily flash to stock for dealer visits? If you didn't get the GDE tuner with the truck have you contacted GDE to get registered with them and get a tuner? GDE keeps track of all their tuning by VIN Number. Seems that would be a lot better than the expense and hassle of using a second ECM.

    Thanks

    Chip tuning / exhaust

You need to pull it at the same time as tuning.. that's the whole point.. as it's usually stopped up or will be very soon.. especially if it's NOT regenerating.

    Chip tuning / exhaust

Can anybody tell me once you get rid of the deaf? Is it okay just to leave your stock exhaust on there until you get different exhaust? Or do you have to change the exhaust right away with the exhaust filter being there? Does that exhaust filter need pulled out right away after you've tuned your...

New to the site. Deleting my 16 eco soon

Just did mine a couple days ago. Bought it from Ecodiesels of Canada. It’s a package stage 2 and trans tune from MRTuning and hard parts from T&S Speed shop. Basic instructions for the tuning part came by email weren’t too hard to get through even as a tuner virgin (all my other tuning involved...

Anyone with good reports of an EcoDiesel?

...but I love this truck. I got the Green Diesel Engeering Hot Tune and Transmission Tune. These are phenomenal products that make the truck's tuning what RAM should have made it from the start. Torque throughout the power band. My continued compliant is cooling during towing in summer up long...

    New guy

I wasn't aware of the SCR's ammonia production, or its killing freeway vegetation. You've enlightened me. Your theory may be better at maintaining or maybe reducing emissions than what's hung on the truck. It definitely will improve performance. The problem is the EPA doesn't care that it...

...into all the other stuff going on, I don't think it would be easy to tune around that setup, so for now it stays off. Maybe once I get my own tuning gear, I'll look at it. 3. I am going to install a magnaflow diesel catalytic converter in place of the DPF filter. You need to keep this cat...

    Newbie here! Love my ecodiesel!

...address: 1) better heat management (shedding) for dealing with loads on hot summer days in the mountains. 2) a better transmission and engine tuning (like Green Diesel's Hot Tune and Transmission Tune, Got 'em, there phenomenal!) But overall, this is my favorite truck and I hope it keeps...

Anyone with good reports of an EcoDiesel?

It won't even know that bass boat is back there. It will like 35 miles each way, gets up to regen temps and enough miles to complete. I'm averaging 3883 miles a year, should last forever.

Anyone with good reports of an EcoDiesel?

Mine will be used for pulling my 19' bass boat, minimum 35 miles one way. I would use it every now and again but honestly I may not hit 3000-5000 miles a year in use. Thank you for your review too, I plan on tuning what ever I buy.

Lucas fuel treatment in a Ram Ecodiesel.

...your rig may differ depending on what gears it has, mine has 3.92. If you live in an area that doesn't emissions test I would also recommend tuning it, either stage one or stage two, it will solve a few problems that come with the ECO in stock emissions form. Tunes that shut down the EGR are...

    hello,

Welcome Bchurch, a tune will definitely help mileage. I averaged closer to 25 before tuning even when being easy on the pedal. I think the tune is definitely worth the time and money if you are in a state that you can do it. Here’s my mileage for the last month or so. Took this pic yesterday...

2016 RAM BLOWN MOTOR 70,000 MILES ENGINE REPLACEMENT

I've made this comment before, and would love to know peoples thoughts on it. The GDE tune is easily reversible and will return your truck to factory condition. The dealer will not be able to tell you run a tune thus not voiding a warranty. Sorta sleazy if that's true but then again so are giant...
