Yes, if you motor in fact fails while tuned, it will void your warranty. The question is, will Ram go that far to check if it was tuned? Some have experienced that, others have not. Any tuning has this risk though, not just GDE.

Get the SFT tune/s. Comes with easy to use handheld tuner allowing you to change tunes. When you go to dealer or smog it just return it to the stock tune. I'm not even sure you have to return it to stock for smogging.
