If you can't get the warranty to cover it, I would look at letting that DEF Pump and DPF falling off the truck.. of course, when it falls off you'll need the proper tuning and exhaust hardware..
Welcome! We have a ton of threads here with different results. I'd recommend taking a look around and see if you have anything in common with the other guys!
You don't have to. Follow the specifications that the manual tells you, and then keep receipts of the things you buy for proof. Most here do this as the dealer is so much more expensive rather than do it yourself.
Welcome! Emission's will be a concern from here on out I'm afraid, no getting away from those with any modern diesel.. and they all have their issues.
As far as the lease or buy, have them run the numbers. I personally won't lease a vehicle, but everyones financial situation is different.
I think your better off buying a used engine from the junk yard. Even if you decide it's not the truck for you, you would get a lot more used with a working engine rather than a truck without one.
Welcome! Congrats on the truck. As far as your wheel hubs, I'll let someone else chime in on that. I've only had to replace one my whole life and it was just wore out!
It sounds like the truck isn't regenerating properly. Did the dealer do a manual regen to help clean out the filter? If they aren't helping, I would find another dealer.
Winter starts are fine with the EcoDiesel.. as far as fuel mileage.. lots of variables here but a 65-75% highway trip should net 25+ MPG pretty easily.
