I am not repeat not an old timer re the eco...There are a lot of very knowledgeable people on this site...
I backed into the ehgine not knowing all the history..Worked my way thru a swap of latest gen engine into earlier gen (2014) truck that was not supposed to work...
Not simple but result is...
I am not repeat am not computer savy...I justify that by pointing out I am so old I was landing 1200 mph birds on mini (old ) carriers
The F35 is no faster just loaded with computers we had none...
The eco is a neat little italian designed engine...all the specs are unheard of in a diesel... 4...
You have guts... I bought one with chips in the filter..running .. The owner was a prince..honest..and told me upfront the issue..
I being of unsound mind thought "hey this is a creampuff, I have to have a DOHC diesel"...I will just change the engine....
If I have learned anything??? buy a code...
Hope you have better luck on tune..
Since I already removed butterfly on inlet, and have no egr hooked up..the banks manifold will clean up the intake area. I am not expecting a hp boost, only cleaning up more complications.. Trying to simplify and remove potential issues.
Can you believe...
Thank you..... Yup found loose return cool line to turbo ! As a very (very) old gear head the electronics are like m,y phone... a lot smarter than me....
What is sensor attached to? If you have full delete? I have EOC stage 2 and just had same error message Getting code reader today...
Yesterday truck started normally..but today again error message and run for minuite then stop...
My 2020 stage 2 plus tranny tune from EOC is doing exactly what I wanted. I see grim ratings on EOC and I wonder... My experience is .... they do not like phone calls, BUt repeat BUT they sure were good on Emails...I myself hate phone calls but like emails.y.es there was a delay due to canadian...
I am NOT an "old timer" at least as far as this site/eco....Have just installed a 2020 gen 3 in a 2014 gen 2 truck..
Not nearly as bad as a few swap,s I have done.. Nail valve buick into a vette, 471 detriot into a ford 350..cut a quad ram in half to add a bornfree body for a cummings/stick...
Like to hear your comments on the manifold..mine is due tommorrow. I have a 2020 engine in my 2014, EOC stage 2/tranny tuine. All deleted but stock muffler in place with new ss exh turbo back.. Great driving truck at this popint. Art Krause
Found same issues with 2020 engine I put in my 2014 truck...Bought EOC stage 2 and tranny tune...pulled egr, cat/def..new exh left stock muffler in place ...Ahhhhhhha now I have a fun truck.. My other ride is a 2016 chevy (holden) ss ..415 hp so I am not comparing the eco to a prius..
Cannot...
Sooooo even tho you have no epa krap.... You still had carbon buildup..... Very interesting.... My guess is the high turbo boost blows enough by the rings to very slowly build in the pan/pickup. My 199K takeout engine was running fine BUT began showing metal in the filter. It was totally stock...
Now have 3000 miles on swap..
Just experienced "limp" mode...
After driving untuned truck for about 500 miles and thinking how poorly it perfoprmed-gutless wonder, merging onto I95 was horrific, just a sad running truck...
Installed eco stage 2 and tranny tune...Pulled all the krap off,including...
Update...Just drove 900 pluss miles turbo cold return line came loose..had no reader . thought it was butterfly.. took out, no help..in limp mode..Finally in my driveway in the smokies I was outside and buddy was sneaking itn up 25% grade, ahhhhh..Heard the turbo.. Yup fixed line, got code (maf...
