Not sure if it'll be monetary or what. That's be nice since I paid a premium for the EcoDiesel in the 1500. We'll see. I've only had one issue. It was the P0299 but they replaced the particulate sensor and checked bunch of other things they were advised to check via 'dealer Link's. That...
UPDATE:
Picked up the truck from dealer. $380 for new particulate matter sensor and $260 for labor. All covered by warranty. Service manager told me that warranty provider (Allstate) wanted to know the following: Does it have a 5th wheel mount, does he tow, does it have a brake controller...
UPDATE #2:
Dealer called. They are replacing the Particulate Matter Sensor. Says the issues I experienced are from that code. When prodded and asked if they were applying an ECM update she said yes. When asked what it covers she simply stated that since I received the U1424 (Implausible...
Update: Fired the truck up to take to the dealer and good news. I apparently own the first magically self healing truck b/c no lights came on at all. Just ran as normal. Which for me is as big a red flag as the actual issues. Anyway, took it to the dealer and gave them the keys with photos...
The fix John mentions is already on the site in previous threading about Electronic Throttle Service...MAP Sensor removal and clean in combination with foaming. In general, trying to keep the intake as 'clean' as can be. In my case I've got the exteneded warranty (10yrs/100,000mi) that I...
Thanks for editing the number out. I appreciate your time on the phone today. Certainly give me the upper hand. I'll update this thread as the situation unfolds.
Well it finally happened. 63,294 miles (2015 Laramie Limited) and the pulling my TT up to the lake and threw a P24AE (Particulate Matter Sensor Circuit). I carry a reader in the truck b/c I'm skeptical. Got the TT to the camp ground unhooked and cleared the DTC after the manuals prescribed...
@Den, towing was up into the foothills of the Cascade Mountain range. Up to Lake Merwin. As for downhill, yeah, so you'll end up on the binders more than you like. The tow/haul mode tries but without an exhaust brake it's sub-optimal. GDE makes a tune that will actuate the vanes of the turbo...
Hi Den, I just bought a 27' TT dry weight of 5480 lbs. Additional 1200lbs of people weight and it tows like a dream. 10.5 MPG up and down hills of Western Washington.
I really hope if they detune the truck some sort of compensation is assessed. The extra $'s for the motor were the exact item the dealer was trying to sell against the Chevy High Country. If it ends up being the same they owe me $5k as far as I'm concerned.
Thanks BoostN!! I have to admit I moved to this site from Ram 1500 Diesel Forum for this exact reason. The site encouraged users to patron the 'off topic' part of the site. I don't know if there are advertising dollars up for grabs or if the traffic is somehow seen by advertisers or what. It...
I live in Washington State and drive most of my miles on highway. I've got 30k on them and can def tell they aren't going to be good in low friction environments. (Back end breaks free really easily in rain etc) I just don't want to get caught in a storm with mediocre tires. I'd also like to...
