I have to drive around town stop and go quite a bit. I know it should be out on the autobahn more to do a regen. Does it help if I drop a couple gears in town occasionally to keep the RPM up to Autobahn levels for the filter to clean out?
I spoke with him in regard to usage by 3.0 users. He said he has sold a number of them for our engine. He is currently dealing with someone in Morroco who wants to be a distributor and use them on the military version of the 3.0.
Here is a older version of the filter on a Cummings. He has...
And just like oil threads we could compare TP of choice They give you recommendation: https://www.toiletpaperoilfilter.com/recommended-tp.html
They do make kits for the Duramax trucks. If there was enough interest they may make a kit for the ecodiesel.
On mine I'll access the port on the...
LOL
I am definately ordering one soon. I'll mount it in front of the engine under the radiator area. Pretty safe there and easy to access. Possibly even some extra cooling effect on the oil.
Check it out. https://www.toiletpaperoilfilter.com/the-new-refiner.html
BTW. I used these long...
LOL Back in the 60's we started to put the Frantz filters on our farm equiptment as bypass filtration. Never once had a problem with them as long as you used 1 ply paper. 2 ply tends to channel. I am thinking about doing this on my 2018 EcoDiesel. LOL, for $5.00 you can have filters for...
These Timber Grove bags look great. I have the In The Coil Air Lift bags on mine. They are great as well, I have to sort out a slow leak I have someplace, but other than that they really help.
The folks that nix air bags just have never tried them. I have had Air Lift bags in all my tucks...
Looks good. First thing I pulled off of mine (the day after I bought it) was the stupid black stickers on the frames. It is painted underneath.
Heat gun it a little. Peel it off and use that 3M sticky remover on it.
I put one of my ECODIESEL badges on my bed mounted tool box. I left the...
My truck has 6K miles on it. It took almost 2500 miles to come off full. It's just above half now. The shop tech told me this is normal. He said you'll go through about 1/3 tank of DEF before the gauge moves.
LOL, back in the day for the price of one of these small bypass filters for the ED I could mount and plumb 3-4 huge lubrifinders on my equipment. Astronomically expensive.
Correct. Obviously any engine mods that affect emissions are going to void the warranty. But many times if said equipment is removed then warranty is back in play. But, individual dealers can be picky/choosey if they so desire with all aspects of warranty claims. . One dealer close by can...
That is confusing and complicated looking. Could you explain!
And actually, (although I think it's just wrong) just about any modifications you make on the truck can void the warranty.
I sold my 6.4 Hemi 2500 Mega Cab to my son. I put 35" tires on it. I installed the AEV module to correct...
My 2018 just turned over 5100 miles. Lots of city driving so MPG is only 20.5. I'm taking it to the dealer for an oil change soon. My truck has none of these lag issues once warmed up. Great power, 27-28 mpg on the autobahn. I'm going to ask the service manager if the warranty will be voided...
Interesting. Like I said above when cold I got lag. Once warmed up it’s a hot rod. I’m an old guy. If when I was young someone told me I’d one day own a 1/2 ton truck with a 183 cubic inch engine that could jerk your head back and smoke the tires and get 25 mpg I’d call them crazy. LOL. Of...
I have a "new" 2018 model with 3K on the clock. When cold (see below*) I can definitely feel the lag. Once warmed up it seems fine.
Fuel mileage city/Hwy so far is about 23-24 which I am happy with as I do lots of city driving. EVIC says, so far, Average speed at 29 MPH, average MPG is...
