2018 ecodiesel 148k engine blew no warranty dealer says we know about the issues with those engines but you are on you're own. Looking to file/add to a class action lawsuit. Let me know.
We all affected should get together and file a class action law suit. FCA is just making more extra money selling new engines instead of fixing the problem and sell a good quality reliable truck.
I have no idea, I was just driving on the highway and suddenly the truck lost power and the engine started to make a knocking noise and that was it. No lights in the dash, no low oil pressure on the gauge, however the dealer said that it was a low oil pressure and a crank bearing went loosing a...
Dealer says that a low oil pressure (from nowhere, no light in the dash no low pressure in the gauge), and then a rod bearing fail, "those engines are notorious to fail he says" so basically you're on your own.
Well, it happened. Just under 150K the engine failed. A five years old truck! Well maintained, oil changed at the dealership in between 7 to 8k. Waiting for two recalls because the parts are not available.
I was a defendant of the ecodiesel, it was great even though all the rumors, 'till now...

hi Mike, I bought a brand new ecodiesel in 2018, it has 130k with no issues so far. For me the main issue is that you have to use it as a Diesel not as a V8 gasoline.
Daily drives City 21mpg Avrg Hwy 25mpg Avrg it could be more or less depending driving conditions, distance, etc. Towing my trailer it also has many variables but I'll say an Avrg of 17mpg, it could be less if a lot of mountain plays a role. My trailer is a 27ft most of the time full loaded so...
I bought a brand new 2018 ED and so far very happy with it. No problems at all. It has 100k on it and just normal maintenance (oil change & filters), one set of tires and brakes all around once. I pull a toy haul trailer and a 6x12 enclosed trailer in summer time for motorcycle racing, other...
Well, this morning the light was gone so I had no time to put a scanner on. Last night when the light was on, I went for a 30k drive at highway speed so, I think that it is the same as last winter, moisture in the top of the engine due short trips and not letting the engine to reach the normal...
Hi there, just wondering why the engine light came on in my truck, it's a 2018 Laramie Eco-diesel with 56000km Only time that came on before, was last winter in a -30C morning (I forgot to connect the engine block heater). Dealer said that it was a possible condensation on top of the engine.They...
I agree with John as well. They are awesome trucks, some times things happen but do not pay too much attention to the negatives, pay more attention to the positives, believe me is more positives than negatives with the ecodiesel. It also depends of how you use it and maintenance.
Enjoy it and...
