Me of little faith, I've had diesels all my life. Loved everyone of them except my 6.0 Ford powder&smoke.

My 1st half ton pickup and I've got the 3.0 ecodiesel. First one went at just ove 20k. Nearing 40 now. Don't want to get stick with it in extended warantee with another boat anchor.

Mostly highway miles averaging 22.5 at 80+ mph.

4x4 quad shortbed limited.

Welcome John!

As an owner, you can only hope that doesn't happen... much less twice. But if it keeps you up at night, I would let it go. Just my opinion.
