Hello everybody, quick question. I have a 2014 dodge ram 1500 ecodiesel, a friend of mine told me the other day that if my turbo goes out, it would be $14,000 to replace it and the engine would have to be replaced also. It's this true? Also if anyone knows the actual price range for a stock turbo and wouldn't mind sharing that would be great. Also FYI, the engine nor the turbo have been showing any signs of failure, this is just for my personal knowledge tha js in advance.

Bought brand new stock turbo from these guys…they shipped and took core return…900.00 US. Awesome to deal with.
had to drop subframe to lower engine…did it in home workshop on a set of quick-jacks…otherwise pricey for labour.
