Well I'm in the "bitten" category too. Crank bearings at 147k miles - diagnosis is totally new engine. Is it worth it with the miles I've accumulated? I love(ed) this truck right up to this point. Dealer does all maintenance - I just drive it.

I think your better off buying a used engine from the junk yard. Even if you decide it's not the truck for you, you would get a lot more used with a working engine rather than a truck without one.

I'm out. This is my work truck - been without it for a week and can't wait longer. Customer service said "the warranty is 100,000 miles and you got more than that". It's too bad - this concept is what I've waited for for years.............high highway mileage with good towing capacity.
