Should be easier now that Chrysler owns the company. Seems there was a time when GM was in on the deal, but backed out at some point which should make it easier for Chrysler to get the engines. Owning the VM Motori company also allows Chrysler to manufacture the engine in the states.

Fiat Group Automobiles acquired the remaining 50% stake of VM Motori S.p.A. owned by General Motors,[6] on 28 October 2013.[7]

From Wikipedia, good info. I didn't know GM sold off their share.
