i have been to three shops all telling me need engine replacement 18000 pickup only worth 14000 has 10900 miles still runs good just ticking noise but cancel number 5 cyl noise goes awayI would be willing to head up filing a class action suit regarding engine replacement. I am wondering how many people out there have had engine replacement issues or extremely high cost to replace the motor. How many people are there that would join this???

I have a 2014 jeep Grand Cherokee with 116k that blew up at the dealership after I had a low oil pressure light come on, I pulled over and shut it off. It wasn't making any engine noise. Had it towed to the dealership and I told them it had a low oil pressure light on and to figure out where the leak was and to no start it. They started it and ran it until it blew up. Then they call me and said it blown up and it's going to cost me 18k for a new engine and 5k for install. It completely blows my mind that with all the problems with the engines there isn't a class action. There's hundreds of people with these jeeps/trucks blown up just sitting because the cost of repair. Also how does a diesel engine fail at 116k?? It's not normal and it's obviously a engine defect. FCA needs to be accountable for these ticking time bombs.I'm in.
1015 grand cherokee with 121,000 and throw a rod.
Had it at the dealer to find out why It's overheating at 11800 miles could not find anything wrong.
To me everything else was good, no leaks, no water in the oil but the lower crankshaft problems was causing the over heating since it's was only when towing.
I had new tires put on it and 3 thousand miles later it throgh a rod.
Maybe sue the dealer? But to me it's a jeep problem not a dealer, jeep mad a bad motor not the dealer.
What makes me mad is jeep builds a product, we buy it and we have to pay for their poor engineering.
How does a class action lawsuit work?
What is the next step, my jeep is setting due to no money to put a new motor in. Has no value the way it is so I have to put one in.
