So my poor truck a couple of weeks ago while up hunting. My cousin was leaned over the drivers side bed rail aiming slightly down hill over the passenger side of the truck shot at a buck and instead of killing his deer attempted to kill my ram. I'll attach a picture here pretty quick. Fortunately it just went through the ram box lid. Anyone have any ideas what one costs??? And let's try and get some activity back in here no one has posted for a couple of days it seems.

I've had my tailgate cap replaced 3 times they're about 45$ I wouldn't imagine the black plastic for the single rambox side being much more than that

Lol I still don't understand how the heck he did that?!? And I bet it scared him shitless.

I've watched somebody putting a slug through the driver door one time. A group of us were deer driving on a huge lease land and some guys without permission came in and hunted on top of us. When we all got back to the trucks, as we were pulling out of the field, one of the older guys (I was 14, he was in his 50s) was all pissed off and put one through driver door of one of their trucks. I was shocked.

Ya well he was resting on the driver side bed rail shooting over the passenger side...the bed didn't show up in scope picture but of course the barrel is a couple inches lower. Unfortunately as you can see in the first picture it's not just the plastic cap the bullet splintered and cracked out the side of the lid where it is painted also.

Yeah I noticed that. I'd assume a body shop could grind and epoxy that crack just as you'd Repair a bumper and Paint it for about 300-400$. Not sure if it'd be better to Repair and repaint and price replacement..

I read that scenario before even seeing what you described happened lol. Been there. I did a dent like that on an old Ford. Tearing down an old building and the chain was a little short, the chimney was a little tall... boom. Oops

I've replaced my ramboxes before it was $1000 and I did that to my tailgate too, but it was an engine and wasn't that bad, I just fixed the tailgate a couple weeks ago.
