John 2017 and earlier Have a common sensor ,it's only capable of detecting Urea/Nitrogen. So you can run ratio's to 5% Urea/Nitrogen to 95% Dist/DIO water. I ran My 2015, down to that level its entire life I owned My 2015 4.25 Years. 2018+ have quality sensor so 22%+ is needed... 1000s of DEF...
The bar is so Low that a Motor that has 80K is considered good, Yep it's a blessing! it's been OK IMO, NO VM 3.0 is issue free, the settlement, ALL the recalls, alone disqualified the VM 3.0 from claiming its issue free.
I don't have the time to confirm this, So look into it. if the CEL is triggered it may NOT passive regen, then the Count down message will display (likely) itself on your trip (EVIC)
2 gallons distilled water to 1 gallon DEF. IF SOME SOME ODD reason you trigger a rational code just at al little more DEF and drive a few miles it will dissappear.
ALL DEF FREEZES AT 12F...the system is designed to start thawing at 26F ..so No Problem in any of my Diesels. MANY ARE running that ratio..2018 + needs 2 Gallons DEF to 1 Gallon distilled water..
2013-16 Can run 80% distilled water 20% DEF..SO That's 2 gallons distilled water 1 gallon . I ran that ratio the entire four years of ownership of my 2015 Once I got a rational code but I just added a little more DEF. Deleted the code and never returned.
The AEM Eco Settlement only covers listed parts...I tried looking up what AEM covered and I cannot find it on this PC, I do know it DOES NOT cover any crank case rotating parts.
Just shut engine off remove negative cable, in the time it takes to remove the cable press will be 0 PSI. The rail sensor is generally not the problem it's the electronic PRV.
There are less cost alternatives... Than trade it off. You can fight. Some have been successful, with Fiat covering 50%.
Rumors, C'mon most of the sources are reliable, More like denial...
