Maybe the splined end for the pumpkin comes out? I noticed mine have a lot of play when they go into the front diff but I don’t have any odd noises or clicking lol
Normally the fronts fall right off, I don’t think mine had holding screws on them, normally one good whack on the top and on the sides gets EM! Sounds like a bigger hammer may be in order 😎
These engines are a pain and riddled with sensors. I get a p04db code, (crank case ventilation disconnected) when my truck shifts into second and I’m pulling a load ever since I upped my tire size since my transmission clutch values think I’m still turning 32’s when I’m really turning 35’s so...
The tune is pretty much an order online put in yourself type setup. I’m running sofaking tune, others recommend hd diesel, gde tuning, and I believe there’s one more. For the actual delete parts a quick google search will give you a few options. I ordered my parts from eBay and the egr stuff...
Welcome! A tune and removal of the egr and exhaust straight pipe seem to do the trick for the most reliable life of the motor. The factory emissions setup allows soot to be recirculated into the intake and throughout the motor. This engine does not like stop and go traffic or short trips so try...
As long as it’s the correct weight and has the correct additives I would not be too concerned but being a dealer I would think that they would put back engine specified oil

Much like the life of my truck, the bulbs I purchased have a recall 🤣🤣 brighter than dot standards for the sl1 headlight bulb. I think Amazon still has a couple sets floating around.
https://www.diodedynamics.com/by-vehicle.html?find=2014-ram-1500-335414&sid=4uiBFeiPKC They’re website is pretty easy to navigate. Deff purchase the anti flicker modules, my radio didn’t get signal with them on and I kept getting odd notifications for bulbs out in my reverse lights until I put...
The dpf (diesel particulate filter) is in the exhaust system and it is only covered to 70k I believe. There was a thread about the warranty period for that recently. Tuning is 1500 ish all said and done and if you are almost out of the warranty anyways then go for it.
These trucks need to run for a long amount of time on the highway so it can get its regens done. Stop and go city driving builds up soot load quickly. Try to find a little longer way home to open her up for 15-20 minutes. My truck regens around 200 mile (300km) increments with mixed hwy and city...
