    oil change issues

Diesels turn oil black in an instant. Between the EGR and other emissions it's just how they are. Nothing to worry about really, as long as they changed the oil.

    New ECO Recall report

I'm assuming a dead spot in the pedal where the truck is not responding.

Silverado & Sierra 1500 Diesel Delay

That's true! They all have issues.. and sometimes you get a bad one.. By the way TC, 01-Early 04 is the LB7, 04.5 - 05 LLY. Early 06 was called the LLY but the same engine as the LBZ. Then 06-07 was the LBZ motor.

    original factory ECM/GDE

Most people just have the dealer do it.. but, yes, we all know you can get it done cheaper. I would find the nearest co-part.com lot, get a decent engine.. then sale the truck. Because it's usually not the dealers call. They typically will do everything to get something covered, but if the FCA...

Silverado & Sierra 1500 Diesel Delay

Bad injectors after sometime = failed Duramax? I really don't recall a ton of issues on the early Duramax.. at least not loosing motors daily. I wouldn't call it failed.. In fact, that truck is more reliable than the EcoDiesel in my opinion. My 06 Duramax I ran for sure would be, but that's not...

    AEM Flash Review

Thanks for starting this thread @Patrity . Overall, it sounds like most users are disappointed in the reflash.

    original factory ECM/GDE

When a $20K repair bill is on the line for a overall disappointing motor, it's always good to let forum members know their warranty COULD BE VOID if they choose to tune the truck.. I will agree, it's a slight chance, but it's still a chance.

    Ecodiesel failure.

Welcome, unfortunately this is a common issue. Have a read around the forums.. plenty of others around here.. but we have good stories as well! Make yourself at home!

    Exhaust filter

Do you not have a lot of highway driving so it doesn't ever come up at all? Usually a quick 10-20 min 55MPH + drive will take care of the regen process once a week.

    Exhaust filter

Dealer will have to manually regen the engine, or a shop with the dealer tools. Welcome to the forum.
