    Dead at 8,250 miles

Well, you have that warranty, so it could be worse. How many miles are on the motor?

    Upgrade or Compound Turbo price

Not much of a market it seems for big power EcoDiesels. The big 3 (Dmax, Powerstroke, Cummins) have a lot bigger market share and folks are into big power. With that said, I'm not sure how reliable the ecodiesel can be with big power? Before I would spend $14K on a set of turbos, I would buy a...

    Buy with warranty or run?

If you have the existing warranty, that's a piece of mind. If you plan on keeping the truck long term 5-7+ years, then I would seriously look at an extended warranty.. but that's just me.

    Hello from Nc

Welcome! Each truck towing capacity varies based on gears, cab config/etc.. it's best to look it up and validate that way. However, if you're right at the edge and you do it often, it might be time for a bigger truck :) If it's a every now and then thing, you'll likely be ok.
