It would have to be programmed via a engine tune. But, you can get an external monitor (I think Edge CTS2 does this) to start a manual regen process.. say you're headed on a freeway trip, and then kick it off..

Welcome! A tune on a diesel can make a tremendous amount of power/difference and overall increase driveablity. The gains depends on the tuner and how hot the tune is.
BDS is well respected by many. The only reason I went with Rancho over BDS back in the day was Rancho had the lift ready for shipment and BDS had theirs still in development.

AutoNews reporting Ram is preparing a split style tailgate. A french door on the right, and dropping down like normal. I can see this would be pretty cool so you can "step up" in the bed more naturally.

I want to point out, anytime a new modern diesel is out of warranty, we have to plan for issues like this. If you live in a place where the DPF "falls off" and it's OK then it's a little easier to deal with this, but in other areas...not so much. DEF/DPF...
