It would have to be programmed via a engine tune. But, you can get an external monitor (I think Edge CTS2 does this) to start a manual regen process.. say you're headed on a freeway trip, and then kick it off..

50K on factory tires is a lot of miles.The factory tires just suck. You're other concerns are valid.. The famous "oil in coolant" is pretty common it seems, although we haven't had many signup lately and state that one.

Welcome! A tune on a diesel can make a tremendous amount of power/difference and overall increase driveablity. The gains depends on the tuner and how hot the tune is.

AutoNews reporting Ram is preparing a split style tailgate. A french door on the right, and dropping down like normal. I can see this would be pretty cool so you can "step up" in the bed more naturally. What do you think?

Make them show you it's not covered. I want to point out, anytime a new modern diesel is out of warranty, we have to plan for issues like this. If you live in a place where the DPF "falls off" and it's OK then it's a little easier to deal with this, but in other areas...not so much. DEF/DPF...
